Seems like there’s a new property management tool or smart home gadget every week lately. I’ve been trying out a some of platforms for my rentals and looking into smart thermostats, but honestly, it’s hard to tell what’s hype and what’s actually helpful.
Has anyone here found tech that really makes a difference either for managing properties or adding value for tenants? Any favorite apps, or things you tried that flopped?

Didn’t think I needed a property management app until I tried RentRedi. It simplified rent collection, maintenance tracking, and tenant screening. Not perfect, but for small portfolios, it’s super convenient.
If you’re in a small multifamily setup, bundling Wi-Fi as part of rent is a sneaky value-add. Tenants love the convenience, and I get a small margin on top. I also set up shared Ring cameras for entryways, clear up a lot of he-said-she-said issues.
